§ 114-66. Application for service; turn-on fee; deposit.

  • (a)

    No water service shall be provided to any customer before the water customer provides the city clerk with a completed utilities application for service and deposit record. This application shall contain an agreement by the applicant to abide by and accept all of the sections of this chapter as conditions governing the use of the city water supply by the applicant.

    (b)

    A fee to be determined from time to time shall be paid for turning on water by the city.

    (c)

    A deposit of $50.00 shall be made with each application for water service. This sum shall be retained by the city to ensure payment of all water bills. When service to the applicant is discontinued permanently, the deposit, less any amount still due the city for water service, shall be refunded without interest. Where any applicant for water service is the owner of the premises to be served, no such deposit shall be required.
