§ 114-293. Deposit refunds.

  • Upon discontinuance of electric service, any electric deposit held by the city clerk shall be returned to such electric customer less the amount of any unpaid electric bills. To the extent any electric deposit is in excess of $100.00, the deposit shall accrue simple interest at the rate of one-tenth of one percent per annum from the date of the electric deposit to the date of the refund. However, if such electric service is discontinued for any cause within less than six months from the date of the deposit, no interest shall be paid.
