§ 2-60. Inauguration of newly elected officials.

The terms of elected municipal officers shall commence at the first regular or special meeting of the city council during the month of April following the proclamation of certified election results of the regular municipal election at which such officers were elected. However, if no such regular or special meeting of the city council is scheduled to occur after the proclamation in April, inauguration of newly elected officers shall occur no later than the first regular or special meeting of the city council during the month of May following such proclamation of certified election results.
